The Akademiförvaltningen Division of Property Management is responsible for the care of 211.468 sq. m. of rentable spaces, particularly in central and attractive locations in Uppsala. A large part of the housing stock consists of unique, historical buildings.
The Division of Fund Management is responsible for about one-third of Akademiförvaltningen’s total administered wealth. Investments are made through Swedish and foreign securities and through bonds. The overall distribution of asset type and market is determined by the board.
The direct investment activities are handled by Akademiinvest AB, which is jointly owned by Akademiförvaltningen, the Swedish Academy, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History, and Antiquities.
The market value of the assets of the Division for Fund Management in 2013 were SEK 3,539 million (3.284). Direct earnings were SEK 156 million (150).
