Management goals

Uppsala Akademiförvaltning is an active manager of capital assets whose ultimate goal is to strengthen research at Uppsala University. The foundation has no private interest of its own; all proceeds go to grants, several kinds of research-supporting measures, and other activities at the University.

Uppsala Akademiförvaltnings current total assets equal SEK 11 billion in market value, of which agricultural, forestry, and other properties stand for 6,4 billion kronor and finance management stands for the other 4,6 billion.

Proceeds in 2019 were SEK 355 million in accordance with the provisions of the foundation, about 73 million kronor were put back into the restricted capital of the sub-foundations. This gave the foundations SEK 281 million to dispose with for their purposes.
